The Mallorcan writer José Carlos Llop premieres in theatrical literature with this work in which he gives voice to Catalina Homar, the most popular lover of the Archduke Lluís Salvador. A production of the Teatre Principal de Palma.
The monologue, played by Catalina Solivellas, breaks the 'secret curtain' surrounding the figure of Homar. The character speaks to us from death, in a scenario that looks like purgatory. The soul of Catherine Homar explains how her life was, and how Lluís Salvador opened an unimaginable universe for a peasant woman from the late 19th century.
