Canadian film, directed by filmmaker Bobbi Jo Hart, who documents the growing process from twelve to twenty years old of the prodigious child Marika Bourmaki, it relates the pressure at which she is subject by her parents, frustrated artists, as well as the sacrifice, talent and luck combine to make Marika become a brilliant concertist.
The director of the film is also a renowned producer, photographer, writer and researcher. He directed his first film Calling to Care in 1997, in which he told the life of Pakistani nurses. His films are adapted to cinéma vérité, which allows him to get closer to the reality he portrays in a direct and very expressive way. It is projected in English and French, subtitled in Catalan.
