Carlota Cáceres is a versatile percussionist committed to the commissioning of new pieces and specialized in the interpretation of contemporary music, both solo and on camera. Now presents in Can Monroig the performance De lo obvio a lo obtuso. No soy yo eres tú (From the obvious to the obtuse. It's not me, It's you).
Born in Badajoz, Carlota graduated with honors and an end-of-career award in the Balearic Islands and later obtained her Master Performance diploma in Basel under the tutelage of Christian Dierstein. She has won the first and second prize of Kiefer Hablitzel Stiftung Wettbewerb and the Förderpreis der BOG für Junge Musikerinnen prize.
She is a member of Tamgram Trio, Zaum_percussion (founder), Nou Ensemble and Zone Experimentale, ensembles aimed at the development of new concepts and new music.
She currently teaches at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, having finished her second master's degree in Basel on contemporary chamber music.
