This is the first individual exhibition held in Spain by American Gerald Davis (Pittsburgh, 1974), an artist in whose work can be seen the influence of the pre Raphaelites, Munch and Francis Bacon's figurative expressionism.
The exhibition Paintings and Drawings features a series of large drawings on paper and big canvases in oil, all made in 2012. They follow the defiant thematic of all his work, at the confluence of the memories of a childhood trauma, sexuality and desire.
