The Teatre Nacional de Catalunya produces this adaptation of one of the key novels of Catalan literature of all times, La Plaça del Diamant. The author, Mercè Rodoreda, converted Colometa into a universal character.
Natàlia, a young girl from Barcelona in the early twentieth century meets, on the festival of Gràcia, Quimet, with whom she falls in love desperately to the point of changing her life and her name. Thereafter, she will be Colometa.
In the context of a rapidly changing Barcelona, during the Republic, war and post-war, we observe the life of the protagonist, a faithful portrait of a whole generation.
