Inspired by bunraku, the name by which the Japanese puppet theater is known, the Valencian company Bambalina Teatre presents its show Quixot within the International Festival of Teresetes Theater of Mallorca 2023, which marks its premiere in the Balearic Islands.
Quixot is an intimate and essential proposal that recreates the spirit of the immortal work of Cervantes. Two officiants dressed in black, a table, lights and shadows, precise gestures and nuanced music... necessary elements to recreate the great flow of humanism emanating from the two protagonists: Don Quixote and Sancho.
Jaume Policarpo and Pau Gregori, actor-manipulators, propose a game of perspectives that pushes the show's expressive and narrative possibilities to the limit. Author: Jaume Policarpo. Director: Carles Alfaro. Music: Joan Cervero.
60 minute show. For family audiences, from 14 years old. Language: no text.
