Within one of the world’s most famous cycles of theater and music, the Salzburg Festival presents La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini (1858 - 1924), with text by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, based on Scènes de la vie de Bohème, by Henri Muger. Edited by Damiano Michieletto, it is included in the annual program Ocimax theaters dedicate to opera and ballet on cinema screen.
This time the opera is directed by Otto Schenk with Franz Welser-Möst at the head of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and Chorus and the cooperation of the Vienna State Ballet.
