This danced conference, by the Escola de Música i Danses de Mallorca, is one of the proposals of the Setmana de la Cultura Popular i Traditional 2021.

Contradanzas were the most popular dances that were danced in Mallorca, and throughout Europe, from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th.

In this conference and dance show we will learn about the reasons that led to this cultural change, as well as aspects of that society.
