‘Refractio Vol. II - Debussy’

Refractio is an innovative project that fuses classical music and jazz in a unique dialogue between two exceptional pianists, Magí Garcias and Diego Hervalejo.

Classically trained, Magí Garcias performs some of Claude Debussy's most iconic works, such as Arabesque No. 1 and Images. To each performance, jazz pianist Diego Hervalejo responds with inspired improvisation, creating a musical conversation and, through Debussy's language, opening a window to uncharted territory.

This second volume is much bolder than the first, released in 2022. In addition to the piano pieces, new sounds are explored, moving away from the purely piano world, and includes prestigious collaborations with Rita Payés, Zuzanna Sosnowska, and Anggie Obin.
