This play, co-produced by the Majorcan companies Res de Res and Artigues has been awarded the Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (held from 3 to 27 August in the Scottish capital) as the best creation of physical and visual theater. Remor lasts only eleven minutes and develops inside a wooden and iron cube , designed as scenic space and at the same time as an art installation.
Marta Miquel Barceló and Joan Artigues, its creators, directors and performers, conceived this little work a year ago inside a cell of the former Palma jail, of which the furniture is now used in the performances.
After its success in Edinburgh, Remor will tour Italy, Austria, China, Ireland and the UK, therefore it cannot be seen in Mallorca for the moment. Although we will be able to see the audiovisual of the piece, which premieres today in Kaleuxe.
