'The revolution of the plants'

Josep Pàmies, permaculture expert and Spanish benchmark in the dissemination of medicinal plants, offers this conference within the program Paisatges Sostenibles of Es Baluard.

Pamiès is a Catalan farmer who 15 years ago abandoned the modern methods of farming to switch to organic farming, which radically improved his own health and that of his lands. Since then, he has become a strong advocate of organic farming and has researched and promotes the use of plants with medicinal properties, especially stevia or wormwood.

Pàmies also criticizes the pharmaceutical industry and the companies that promote the use of transgenic and who look more for financial gain -using patents and chronicity of illness-that finding real and ethical solutions.
