It is one of the most innovative proposals of the ones that take place in 2015 commemorating the centenary of the death of the Archduke of Austria. Javier Vallhonrat, National Photography Prize in 1995, travels the paths of the Sierra de Tramuntana like so many times, as did Luis Salvador, sets a number of milestones and itineraries from which he captures the images that make up the main development of the project, large format photographs that represent the thick vegetable part of the forest of Tramuntana.
But Javier Vallhonrat (Madrid, 1953) does not limit himself to only walk those routes once again, but pretends to provide different content to the territory, walk it and live it, but in a different and unique way. The work was completed with the publication of a book where the photographs are displayed with their location on the map, drawings, notes and images.
Before the Casal Solleric in Palma, La Senda y laTrama has been seen in the Kunst Haus in Vienna, the Stiftung Starke in Berlin and the Cervantes Institute in Prague.
