This project is part of the series La Piscine, conducted in 2010 by the multidisciplinary team Tactelgraphics comprising artists Ismael Chappaz and Juanma Menero . In their works, which develop cross-media projects (illustration, photography, video and installation), they offer a vision away from the conventional and explore a dream world populated by colorful images, desert landscapes and childhood memories.
Somewhere Over Summer (S.O.S.) is composed of different levels: La Piscine, Le Chemin, L'Heritage, Le Court de Tennis , Le Jeu de Paume and Parasol. They are all made from photographs and vinyl stickers with geometric shapes on methacrylate , creating shadows that give greater dimensionality to the images.
