‘Sota Terra’

It is the first sample of Experimental Animation in Mallorca and aims to show the creative potential of this way of expression on the island. The show will have two types of location: a movie theater (CineCiutat) and the art galleries in Palma Fran Reus, Altair and La Caja Blanca.

In the participating galleries from 18 to November 26 we can view a selection of animated films in different formats, while the full projection is celebrated on the 20th in CineCiutat. The following films will be screened: Metamorfosis de mariposa (Butterfly Metamorphosis), de Laboratorium; El arca de Noé (Noah's Ark), by Laura Ginès; La horda(The Horde); and En la colonia penitenciaria (In the Penal Colony).

In addition to viewing, the art galleries display works in a group exhibition that have served to create the animations, sculptures, drawings, illustrations, poems, storyboards, etc.. Among the participating artists are Teresa Matas and Oriol Sánchez.
