Peruvian multimedia artist Cecilia Paredes (Lima 1950), based in Philadelphia (USA) where she is a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania, presents her exhibition Un ligero vuelo at Casal Solleric.
Her work transcends into universal themes, especially those related to the power of nature and the feminine. Migration is also a thematic protagonist of several of her exhibitions. In her installations she often uses natural waste elements, mostly organic.
Among her best-known works is Paisajes, in which she mimics herself and uses her own body as a canvas for body painting.
