‘La verbena de la Paloma’

José María Damunt directs the puts on stage this popular zarzuela with libretto by Ricardo de la Vega and music by Tomas Breton. Scenic direction of Gerardo Meré.

Premiered uccessfully in February 1894 at the Teatro Apolo in Madrid,  La Verbena de la Paloma is a zarzuelita (a type of zarzuela in one act) and is divided into three frames, with different scenery and staging. Includes very famous songs like Una morena y una rubia, ¿Dónde vas con mantón de manila?  o Por ser la Virgen de la Paloma.

It is programmed into the 2017 Season Zarzuela Palma Auditòrium.
