The cinema Sala Augusta of Palma dedicates every Tuesday, from October 2 to December18, to a classic film series in which one can see twelve titles that may be considered essential in the history of cinema. The films are screened in their original language and in 35mm format.
The first is Vertigo, directed by Alfred Hitchcock and released in 1958. Starring James Stewart and Kim Novak, it is a classic of black cinema, with a screenplay based on the novel Sueurs froides: d'entre les morts (Vertigo: among the dead), written by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac.
After an evaluation of ten years, in August 2012 Vertigo was voted the best film of all times.
