Expert on prehistory, Carlos Garrido (Barcelona, 1950) is the author of numerous books on the Balearic Islands. The best-known series are Las Islas mágicas( The Magic Isles), with volumes dedicated to Mallorca, Menorca, Cabrera, Ibiza and Formentera.
