This exhibition brings together paintings of two artists with very different trajectories but with common elements in their particular universe, Argentine Rodolfo Zagert (Eldorado, 1950) and the young Mallorcan Rox Mena (Palma, 1986).
Rodolfo Zagert studied art and architecture in Buenos Aires and later continued his studies in Germany, where he got a scholarship. In 1991 he moved to Palma combining plastic art with architecture, specializing in the field of rehabilitation. For one project, the restoration of a sixteenth century palace, he was awarded the Premio Ciudad de Palma in 1999. In his art work he uses mixed techniques, on paper or canvas, with great skill in the use of color.
Meanwhile, Mena Rox was formed in England, where she learned to love the abstract. She uses very contrasting colors, like red and black, with bold brushstrokes that give her works great strength and vitality.
