Fourth edition of this international themed film festival, the first in Europe dedicated to the sea and has become the reference film event of the Balearic Islands. It covers all types, from the most committed and cultural independent cinema to high consumer and comercial film.
Until May 3 around twenty films will be screened from festivals like Sitges-Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya , the Surfilm Festival of San Sebastian and San Francisco Ocean Film Festival. Among the titles four absolute premieres in Spain: Arrecifes. Oasis de vida, Last Hijack, Thule/Tuvalu, Capitán C, Després de la boira, The Last Ocean nd the animated film La leyenda de Sarila.
The festival features sections like Mar Balear, dedicated to promoting cinematographic creations made in the Balearic Islands and therefore has the support of Medit-Cinema Festival Mediterrani Menorca.
04 MareMostra is organized by the Audiovisual Cluster of the Balearics and Sol Work and sponsored by the Port Authority. The activities and screenings are held at the Teatre Principal, CineCiutat, CaixaForum and Club de Mar.
