The Orquestra Acadèmia 1830 celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven (born in Vienna on December 16, 1770) with this concert at the Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza de Palma. The program consists of Suite for String by Leos Janacek and Concerto number 5 for piano 'Emperor' by Beethoven, in chamber version.
The Orchestra Acadèmia 1830, directed by Fernando Marina, was created two years ago and is made up of young professionals and first-rate musicians of Mallorca. It is a flexible and variable formation, which allows it to address a wide symphonic repertoire, from Beethoven to baroque, classical music or composed in the twentieth century.
The orchestra is part of the musical association Acadèmia 1830 whose objective is the dissemination of the large repertoire of classical music in the Balearic Islands, and which also has a choir formation. This enables them to address both the vocal and instrumental genres.
