Although he began to exhibit in 1978, this is the first time the Mallorcan artist Javier Esteban Yern (1959) shows his work on the island. In 1992 he participated in the Collective Jovenes Miradas from Spain presented at the MOMA in New York, although most of his exhibitions have been held in Barcelona.
In these years of experience Javier Esteban Yern (JEY) has gone through many styles, from his beginnings in realistic painting, through symbolism until reaching a very eclectic abstraction. For some time he took up photography leaving painting in the background, returning to take up this activity in recent years.
The exhibition opens on November 23 at 20:00.
