Mar entre terres is the title of the latest album by Aires Formenterencs, which they now present in the Cançons de la Mediterrània 2020 series accompanied by Miquel Brunet, Pau Mas and Eduard Riera.
The group was created in 1989 in the minor of Pitiüses by its current members: Bartomeu Joan Escandell 'Xumeu' (voice, acoustic guitar, flute and drum), Francesc Ferrer Serra 'Xico' (voice and Spanish guitar) and Santiago Marí Escandell 'Santi' (voice, lute and castanets).
They make purely Mediterranean music and start from the traditional instrumental, musical and literary masses of the Pitiüses islands, merging with other more modern instruments to forge a personal sound.
