Alexey Lebedev

Third and last concert of the XI Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino 2018. It is entitled  El joven Chopin-perlas del Romántico and will be carried out by the virtuoso Russian pianist Alexey Lebedev (St. Petersburg, 1980), one of the best performers of his generation and winner of numerous international competitions, among them the prestigious Ferruccio Busoni de Bolzano (Italy).

Son of an orchestra conductor, Alexey Lebedev  began his piano studies at age 5 at the Art Lyceum and debuted at age 14 as a soloist with an orchestra performing Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 Op 18.

Since 2012 he is a piano teacher at the Kyungsung University of Busan (South Korea). He has also been a member of the jury of important piano competitions such as María Canals of Barcelona, ??James Mottram of Manchester, the Bangkok International Competition or Rina Sala Gallo de Monza.

The Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino is organized by the Cell of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand in the Cartuja de Valldemossa. It is the Cell No. 4 of the monastery, which was rented by the famous couple and where Chopin received his piano Pleyel in 1838.
