From June 5 to September 11, 2025, Pelaires Cabinet hosts Pace Taylor’s Spanish debut as part of ART PALMA SUMMER 2025, curated by Sasha Bogojev. In this solo exhibition, the Portland‑based trans‑queer artist presents new pastel drawings and watercolours that delve into desire, intimacy and the uncanny relationship we have with our own bodies.
Taylor pushes pastel beyond traditional boundaries, achieving painterly textures that glow against the velvet grain of the paper. Elongated, gender‑fluid figures hover between tenderness and distortion, while swiftly executed watercolours introduce dream‑like blurs and Rorschach‑like stains that crystallise into luminous faces.
Ambiguity, vulnerability and quiet intensity invite viewers to inhabit their own longings and anxieties. “All I Do the Whole Day Through” offers an immersive glimpse into Taylor’s ongoing exploration of how desire binds—and distances—us. A must‑see highlight of Mallorca’s summer art calendar.
