Ara Malikian/Fernando Egozcue Quinteto

We could see Armenian-Lebanese violinist this summer at the Teatre d'Arta within the cycle Sent el Patrimoni (Feel the Heritage). Ara Malikian returns this October to Mallorca by the hand of Argentinean guitarist Fernando Egozcue to present at the Palma Auditòrium Con los ojos cerrados…

With this title they released an album earlier this year considered by critics as a musical gem. A work that binds the virtuosity and brilliance of Malikian (one of the most original and innovative violinists of his generation) with the guitar mastery of Fernando Egozcue, who is among the greatest referents of tango in the current scenario, two friends and musicians who ten years ago already recorded in tandem the album Lejos.

The twelve songs of Con los ojos cerrados… were composed by Egozcue and blend very different types of music, from jazz to pop, but all influenced by tango.

Malikian and Egozcue are accompanied by Constanza Lechner (piano), Antonio Miguel (bass) and Martin Bruhn (percussion).
