Since the eighties, the German photographer Roland Fischer (Saabrücken, 1958) has focused his work on portraiture, in the broadest sense of the word. He began photographing people (his series Nonnen und Mönche and Los Angeles Portraits are famous) to address, since the nineties, the architectural representation.
The exhibition Architectures has been conceived for the main floor of Casal Solleric and is composed of his famous series dedicated to cathedrals, palaces and historic environments as the Alhambra in Granada. It also has a wide selection of photographs of museums, halls, houses and works of the most prestigious modern and contemporary architects. It also includes two new versions of the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca.
