Alma en Cuba is the title of the program that Ariel Brínguez and Iván 'Melon' Lewis - winner of the Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album for Voyager - present at the 2022 Jazz Palma Festival. A careful selection of Cuban songs from all times where contemporary elements and lyrical-musical heritage of the island come together.
It is the symbiosis of two of the most outstanding representatives of the current music scene: saxophonist Ariel Brínguez and pianist Iván 'Melon' Lewis. An appointment with the past, the present and the future highlighting danzón, contradanza, son montuno, jazz and classical European music.
