Homor Negra (Black Humor) is not just a comedy show, it is a declaration of intent. An anti-racist and Afro-feminist monologue in which, through humor, Asaari is able to speak openly about the particularities of being a woman, black and a migrant in Spain. It is one of the proposals of the XIV edition of the Fesjajá humor festival.
In the 90 minutes that the show lasts, the artist takes a tour that forces the viewer to face the mirror of clichés, prejudices and stereotypes, while inviting us to accompany her on her own journey of deconstruction.
A dynamic show from beginning to end in which topics such as the white savior syndrome, the importance of representation, the only black, interracial couples or the hypersexualization of black women in the collective imagination are touched on.
Outspoken and visceral, in this monologue Asaari Bibang manages to make us think while we laugh, laugh while we think. Stand Up with message.
Show recommended for over 14 years old.
The Fesjajá humor festival has received the award for Best Non-Musical Festival in Spain 2023 by the Iberian Festival Awards.
