Battle of the bands swing

The Association Mallorca Swing presented this proposal that recreates the classic battles of bands in the same way as is currently done in some of the best swing festivals worldwide.

These battles were born in the late 30s, in full swing of the big swing bands. Were held at the legendary Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York, where every orchestra stood at one end of the room and played simultaneously competing for the attention of the audience, mostly young 'lindy hop' dancers.   

Participating Monkey Doo and Long Time No Swing, two swing quartets with a repertoire of traditional songs.
