Feast of the Patron

The Virgin of the Angels is the patron of Pollença, population especially known because every year, amid a crowd of locals and outsiders, is carried out the simulation of the clash between Moors and Christians. This year marks the 2nd August.

The battle recalls the struggle of May 30, 1550, in which the Christians headed by Joan Mas, obtained the victory over the Turkish pirates led by the terrifying Dragut. The day begins at five o'clock in the Plaza Major with Alborada.
