Carmen París

With her unique style, Carmen Paris provides one of the most innovative jazz fusion recently proposed. Born in Tarragona but she grew up in Utebo in the province of Zaragoza, Aragon hence the Aragonese  jota is part of her music, which fuses jazz, Andalusian music, flamenco and other musical styles.

After two decades on stage, she debuted solo in 2002 with Pa 'mi genio, which won the award for Best Traditional Music Album in Music Awards 2003. She has since released three more albums, the last in 2013 with the title EJazz con Jota, now presented in the Alcúdia Jazz festival. The album was recorded in Boston with the Concert Jazz Orchestra of Greg Hokins and the lyrics are in English and Spanish.

She is accompanied by Pepe Rivero (piano), Jose San Martin (drums) and Antonio de Miguel (bass).
