The young Spanish saxophonist Juan A. García Illanas, 'Chasko', leads this band formed by Bernat Xamena (trumpet), Jesús Parra (bass), Gonzalo Peñasola (piano) and Volker Ledwing (drums). They have a standard repertoire and their own songs.
'Chasko' (Segovia, 1987) received the first National Youth Music Award of Spain in 2011. This same year he obtained with the title honors upper saxophone and end of career special award, plus the medium title in the specialty organ.
Chasko Jazz Project acts this summer in Mallorca in different scenarios, including Banyalbujazz festival (August 8), the Blue Jazz Club (August 9th) and Night Fair l'Estacio (August 10).
