Chekhov Theatre Cycle

A group of Mallorcan professionals stage a series of works by Russian writer Anton Chekhov (Taganrog, 1860-Badenweiler, 1904) at Can Alcover, under the generic title of Jardí desolat (Desolate garden), which Joan Alcover (1854-1926 ), Mallorcan poet, essayist and politician, alluded to in the poem La relíquia (The relic).

From 4 to 7. Vània, directed by Josep Ramon Cerdà. Starring: Guillem Simó, Maria Bauçà, Miquel Torrens and Eva Torras.
From 11 to 14. Ivanov, play directed by Sergi Baths. Starring: Rodo Gener.
From 18 to 21. L’espera del Valhala, play directed and adapted by Albert Mèlich and Joan Fullana. Starring: Mercè Sancho de la Jornada, Maria Bauçà and Magdalena Thomàs.
From 25 to 28. La gavina, play with collective direction. Cast: Agnès Llobet, Lluqui Herrero, Joan Carles Bellviure, Xavier Frau, Clara Ingold and Guillem Juaneda.
