Gay Men 's Chorus and Cor Ciutat de Mallorca, accompanied by fifteen musicians led by per Joan Lainez, will perform an original and energetic repertoire consisting of works by current composers and arrangers like Rutter, Longhurst, Powell or Larson.
The Christmas concert will contain both original works and traditional songs, all with very modern harmonies and versions that are seldom heard. A selection of music linked to the period of the 40s and artistic expressions of the collection Implosió of Baluard, where the strength of the historical avant-garde is displayed, the extension of cubism and abstraction that caused resonances decades after informalism and expressionism.
An event that will be full of surprises like an impressive interpretation of Angels we Have Heard on high as a gesture of complicity of the Swedish Christmas, a tender Breath of Heaven, gospel songs or a fun Fa la la la will be some of the works that will be interpreted, ending with an emotional Peace on earth.
