Christoph Prégardien (tenor) and Julius Drake (piano) close the 56th Festival of Pollença with this concert dedicated to Die Schöne Müllerin (The Beautiful Mill keeper), by Franz Schubert.
German Christoph Prégardien (1956) is especially admired as a lieder singer and performs in the main halls of Europe and in the most prestigious festivals. He debuted with great success as director with the Passion according to San Juan of J. S. Bach with the set Le Concert Lorrain and the Nederlands Kamerkoor in 2012; In 2015 he directed the Passion according to San Mateo.
For his part, British Julius Drake (London, 1959) is considered one of the best instrumentalists in his field, who collaborates with the most important artists both in recitals and recordings. He has been the musical director of Janácek's Diary of a Disappeared, and since 2009 he is the artistic director of the Machynlleth Festival of Wales.
