The Centre de Cultura "Sa Nostra ', in collaboration with the Alliance Française, dedicates the month of May to French cinema paying homage to the figure of the director Olivier Assayas, in which some of his best films will be screened.
Assayas is one of the leading exponents of French Cinema Today. He was film critic of the famed magazine Cahiers du cinéma and wrote the screenplays for the films Rendezvous (1985) and Le lieu du crime (1986) for director André Téchiné. His first feature film was Désordre (1986) a film with which he won the Critics Award at the Venice Film Festival.
From this time moment onwards his production has been characterized by the magnificent use of photography as a narrative combined with a style in which is noted his experience both as a filmmaker and film critic.
