A proposal by the Third International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí' for the Saturdays in August. The second event will be led by Duo Forteza-Nieto, formed by Pascual Martinez Forteza-(clarinet) and Gema Nieto-Forteza (piano).
The program consists of Three Preludes for clarinet and piano (G. Gershwin); Sonata for clarinet and piano and Suite of the opera West Side Story (L. Bernstein); Sonata for clarinet and piano in E major E flat, op. 167 (C. Saint-Saëns); Canzonetta (G. Pierné); and Scaramouche, op. 165 b (D. Milhaud).
The Forteza-Nieto Duo was formed in 2003 in New York and a year later made his debut at Carnegie Hall with great success. Their repertoire is focused especially on the Spanish music of the nineteenth century, with incursions into French and American music.
