This young pianist from Madrid (b. 1985) has been awarded the First Prize in the specialty of Piano and Chamber Music in the Competition Intercentros in 2002, finalist in the specialty of Piano in the same contest that year, finalist in the the Competition Marisa Montiel Linares in 2004 and won the First Prize and Prize for best interpretation of Spanish Music in la Linea de la Concepcion in 2005. Currently she is the pianist of the DNOA (De Nederlandse Opera Academy) and professor of the Conservatory of Amsterdam. The program she now offers includes works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Beethoven, Maurice Ravel and Sergei Rachmaninov.
This concert is part of the Classical Music Festival of la Torre de Canyamel, an initiative launched this summer which aims to enrich the cultural offer of the municipality of Arta. The Torre Canyamel (Canyamel Tower), built in the mid-thirteenth century, is one of the most singular buildings of its kind in Europe and unique in Mallorca. It has a square floor plan and follows the lines of the Gothic. The area also features ancient buildings of the early settlers dating back to 1000 BC.
