The Russian pianist opens the 5th Festival of Piano Torre de Canyamel with a monograph dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943). Dina Parakhina graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and is one of the youngest teachers at the Central Music School.
She combines teaching with concerts and tours as a soloist and in collaboration with other solo instrumentalists.
She offers a program consisting of Variations on a Theme of Corelli Op.43, Melody Op.3 (revised version) and Sonata No. 3 in B flat minor Op.36: 1. Allegro agitato, 2. Non allegro-Lento, 3. L’ istesso tempo -Allegro molto.
This piano festival program four concerts from August 1 to 5 and is organized by Mallorca Summer Academy and Torre de Canyamel, an ancient fortress of the thirteenth century.
