The XXIV Festival de Música Antiga de Palma 2021 presents the new proposal of Ensemble Musicantes, Sones medievales. A journey through European monodic music from the late 13th century and the early 15th century polyphony (Ars Nova).
The program is made up of cantigas de Santa Maria, French, English, Hungarian and Italian dances and Sephardic music, among others.
Ensemble Musicantes is made up of Jaime Muñoz (flutes, bagpipes, chicontén and xeremia), Adriana Arias (fídula), Jaime del Amo (citole, salteri, wheel viola, percussion and direction) and Wafir Shaikheldin (drum, tambourine, tar, riq and darbuka).
