A proposal of ethnic jazz in the new edition of the Cançons de la Mediterrània festival with Ermanno Panta & Banda Zeitun. The Sicilian singer and polyinstrumentalist came to Formentera in 2014 coinciding with the tuning of an original musical style that draws on the different waters of the Mediterranean. The contribution of the Catalan guitarist Sergi Gómez, in this phase of creation and arrangements, has been fundamental.
Sicilian in Formentera, Ermanno composes and sings with the voice of the immigrant. This has been the origin of Isla Musa, the first album of the band released in 2019. A cheerful and vibrant work that is a song of diversity and that emanates a deep respect for the musical sources from which it draws: Sicilian music, flamenco , jazz.
Ermanno Panta (voice, flute, saxophone, percussion), Sergi Gómez (flamenco guitar), Cote Calmet (drums) and José Gómez (electric bass).
