In October 2014, Marie-Noëlle Ginard and Manuel Santiago began in Can Monroig an experiment called #Es_solo_pintura. The first months were spent in a makeshift studio on the top floor of the house, where each one of them painted on large panels.
In July 2015 they painted sofas in the underground of Can Monroig under the influence of the music of Nils Frahm, an experience to which they were also joined by Vito Mardaras.
Months after that Marie-Noëlle Ginard and Manuel left the workshop and installed themselves on the ground floor: sometimes they painted in the library, other times on the dining table, other times in the underground. They began to draw and paint together on the role of some old sea charts purchased on the flea market. Throughout this year of 2016 they invited musicians to play extempore while they were painting, interacting between them.
This exhibition shows paintings by four hands of Manuel Santiago and Marie-Noëlle Ginard. The opening concert is accompanied by the concert of experimental noise by Vito and John Mardaras.
