This exhibition shows the most representative photographs of the series España oculta (Concealed Spain) by Cristina García Rodero, the first Spanish photographer to be a member of the famous International photography agency Magnum. The images were captured during her journey through villages of different regions of Spain between 1975 and 1988, which gives them great documentary, anthropological and artistic value.
García Rodero avoids the visual clichés and conceives her art as an extensive work of research around the rituals, beliefs, manners and customs.
