The last title in the 2024 Goya Awards Special Cinema cycle programmed by the Auditori d'Alcúdia is La sociedad de la nieve, a 2023 film directed and written by J.A. In 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, chartered to take a rugby team to Chile, crashes into a glacier in the heart of the Andes. Only 29 of the 45 passengers survive the accident. Trapped in one of the most inaccessible and hostile environments on the planet, they are forced to resort to extreme measures to stay alive.
