A figure of Belgian jazz, trumpeter Jean-Paul Estiévenart has a successful career behind him and has played with a number of great figures such as Enrico Pieranuzzi, Avishai Cohen, Brussels jazz Orchestra, Perico Sambeat or Maria Schneider.
His talent has been recognized with important awards, such as the 2006 Golden Django Award or the 2009 Octavas de la Musique Award. As a musician, his ability to improvise, his subtlety in interpretation and his energy stand out.
After numerous collaborative projects and directing different groups, the trumpeter created this luxury quintet for a residency at the Brussels Jazz Festival and now arrives for the first time in the Balearic Islands to participate in the Alternatilla Jazz Fest 2023, of which Belgium is a guest country.
