In the year 123 BC the most important change in its history took place in Mallorca. An ancient, protourbana and clan culture was put an end to by a state, urban and monetary culture: the Roman.
Two characters struggle, each from an opposing point of view. And in the background beats the heart of an unknown, lost and ignored people: the balearic civilization.
We do not know what language they spoke, nor how they governed, nor what their gods or their customs were. We were only left their great monuments of stone.
Estrelles i talaiots proposes a trip to the past and recreates the arrival of the Romans to Mallorca 2,000 years ago in an exceptional setting: the talayotic village of Els Antigors (Ses Salines).
It is interpreted by Rodo Gener (a talayotic man) and Xavi Núñez (Cecilio Metelo). Mariona Forteza puts the musical part, and Carlos Garrido, author and director of the show, explains the historical context. The lighting is the work of Miquel Marquès. A production of Cultural-ment.
