The paintings of Alejandra Freymann (Xalapa, Mexico, 1983) are situated between abstraction and figuration. Enigmatic narratives painted in oil that sometimes evoke the Mexican magical realism and other dreamscapes.
Her latest project is an investigation into the construction of the gaze in fifteenth century Flemish painting.
