Javier Nuñez is considered by the specialized critics as one of the most expressive and virtuoso harpsichordists of today. He arrives at the XL Deià International Music Festival accompanied by another Spanish virtuoso performer, the violagambista and director Fahmi Alqhai.
In this concert they offer a program with works by M. Marais, A. Forqueray, F. Couperin, P. Royer and J.P. Rameau.
The Deià International Music Festival has been held since 1978 in the music room of Son Marroig, one of the former properties of Archduke Luis Salvador in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca. It was created by the now defunct Patrick Meadows, jazz musician and poet, and his partner Stephanie Shepard. Since a few years, the artistic direction falls on the pianist Alfredo Oyagüez Montero.
It is dedicated to chamber music, although it also includes proposals for styles such as jazz or flamenco.
