Russian film of 2011directed by Alexandre Sokurov, who also wrote the script based on the novel Faust by Johan Wolfgang von Goethe. This is not an literal adaptation of the book of the German writer but a reading between the lines of its essence. It presents a suffocating universe full of ideas that will rock the small world in which the protagonist moves. It is projected in the original German version subtitled in Spanish within the cycle Les nits gòtiques (Gothic nights).
